We're Up for Four Gongs at the CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards!

More good news came our way last week as we earned a quartet of nominations in the upcoming CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards sponsored by SBC.

Flying the flag in the 'Best Mechanic' category is none other than Wanted Dead or a Wild - our flagship Wild West hit that has gone on to cement its place as a bona fide slot blockbuster since exploding onto the scene in 2021, regularly showing up on highlight reels and big win edits of scores of streamers and casino fans. Capping another memorable year, the game was crowned Casinolytic's 'Most Watched Game' of 2022' after racking up an astonishing 1.1Billion minutes of viewtime throughout the course of the year - and "Wanted" - as it's become affectionately known - could be in line for even more silverware six months down the line.

Wanted Dead or a Wild is joined by the dark and disturbing Rotten, which beckons players to a disused fairground to acquaint with an unruly mob of zombies who've been let loose. Rotten is recognized in the 'Best Soundtrack' category thanks to its piano-led, haunting audio number which serves to amplify the horror and crank up the suspense as players spin the reels.

Represented in the 'Best Art Direction' category is Hacksaw Gaming's unique portrayal of Ancient Egyptian belief systems. Hand of Anubis takes the conventional Egyptian formula and flips it on the head with some absorbing gameplay and striking aesthetics, giving the game an unmistakably dark, foreboding atmosphere.

And finally, rounding off our nominations for 2023, in the prestigious 'Slot of the Year' category we find the cretinous pair of Ro$$ and Maxx - two furry foes hellbent on stirring up some slapstick tomfoolery across the reels in R.I.P. City. Released just this year, the slot regularly hogs the most-played charts at casinos everywhere - a testament to Hacksaw Gaming's artistic talents and boundless creative bent. Yet another of our award-winners, R.I.P. City is fresh off GamblingNews 'Slot of the Month' success for January in honor of its meteoric start to life that shows no signs of slowing.

Scheduled to bring the curtain down on the CasinoBeats festival held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Malta on May 25th, the Game Developer Awards celebrate the ongoing success of iGaming's brightest game creators and we have every chance of emerging victorious in what promises to be a star-studded affair. Good luck to all nominees.
